new adventure

my life is going to be changing soon... in 25 (!) short days i'm off to south america. i'll be living and working/volunteering in buenos aires for five months, with a month of traveling tacked on the end.

and i've decided that instead of trying to morph this blog into an argentina love fest, i would just do a one-off and keep all of my spanish thoughts in one place. so, if you're curious, here's where you can find me for the rest of 2009:

it was awesome.

fish tacos from roadside stands.

with horchata. i love horchata.

deep-fried shrimp-and-veggie-stuffed fish.

red snapper.

and breaded fillets.

a mexican-style pot roast casserole.

huevos divorciados for breakfast.

one of the best dishes i've ever had. really. creamy potatoes and corn and beef and things i don't know but want to eat again and again and again.

giant burrito. looks bad, tastes good.

birthday fajitas.

and plates of delight.

and other funky things that i'm still not sure of...
